Data Protection Officer

We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Data Protection Officer to join our Compliance and Risk Division in Dubai. You will oversee the company’s data protection strategy and ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. If you have strong knowledge of GDPR, local data protection laws, and experience working in regulated environments, we welcome your application.

Responsibilities

  1. 1) Develop, implement, and maintain data protection and privacy policies
  2. 2) Monitor compliance with GDPR and other data privacy regulations
  3. 3) Conduct internal data audits and risk assessments
  4.  4) Advise management and staff on privacy obligations
  5.  5) Handle data subject access requests and breach incidents
  6. 6) Maintain records of processing activities and data flows
  7. 7) Liaise with regulatory bodies and legal advisors when necessary
  8. 8) Provide privacy training and awareness across departments

Qualifications:

  1. 1) Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, or related field
  2. 2) Minimum 5 years of experience in a data privacy or compliance role
  3. 3) Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO), CIPP/E, or similar is required
  4. 4) Deep knowledge of GDPR, DIFC, and ADGM privacy frameworks
  5. 5) Strong written and verbal communication skills
  6. 6) Attention to detail with sound risk assessment ability
  7. 7) Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage
