Under the Auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Esports Federation, GAMERGY Egypt’s 1st Edition at Alburouj Records a Unique Experience in the Regional Esports Industry
Cairo, February 1, 2025: GAMERGY Egypt, one of the world's largest esports, gaming, and entertainment festivals, announces the success of its inaugural edition in Egypt, hosted by IMKAN Misr at Alburouj New Heliopolis. The festival featured a diverse program spanning three days, from January 30 to February 1, 2025.
The festival’s Egypt edition results from a strategic collaboration between Ievents, Influence Group, eProjects LLC, and MENATech Entertainment—leading companies in event management, communications, and experience creation, respectively.
The event was hosted and sponsored by IMKAN Misr, powered by e& and sponsored by, EBank, Juhayna, Domty, XPRS, THE Technology, HiLights, and Cosmic, with Red Bull as the energy drink partner, Samsung as the official mobile partner, Twist Music as the entertainment partner, 2oolameme as the board game partner, Bolt as the transportation partner, and covered by Daghash Tents. Additionally, NRJ served as the official radio partner, with media partners CairoScene, El Fasla, Cairo24, Asa7be, and Yallakora, along with TicketsMarche as the official ticket partner
GAMERGY Egypt offered the esports and gaming industry a combination of exciting tournaments and cosplay
competitions, featuring both international and local teams, engaging experiences, daily live performances, and entertainment, as well as a unique opportunity for attendees to interact with international and local content creators, influencers, and exclusive gaming figures, with Marwan Serry acting as the official ambassador of GAMERGY Egypt.
Furthermore, the festival provided Egyptian talents with the opportunity for scouting in coordination with the Egyptian Esports Federation, enabling them to showcase their capabilities to a global audience.
The festival featured three days of competitive tournaments across various games, including FC25, Valorant, PUBG Mobile, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Free Fire, where players showcased their skills and competed for a substantial prize pool exceeding EGP 2 million.
The festival winners included xx among the international teams who won in the xx category for xx game, securing a prize of EGP xx. Among the Egyptian teams, xx won in the xx category for the xx game, securing a prize of EGP xx. For the cosplay competitions, solo winners included xx, securing a prize of EGP xx, and group winners included xx, securing a prize of EGP xx.
